1Our role — an intermediary marketplace

Verev operates an online marketplace that helps buyers discover, and connects them with, sellers and independent dealer partners ("Sellers") who list used vehicles. We provide listing, discovery, verification-assistance and enquiry-routing tools.

• Verev is an "intermediary" within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. We do not manufacture, own, sell, buy, import, store, deliver or take title to any vehicle listed on the Platform, unless we expressly state otherwise in writing for a specific transaction.
• The contract for the sale or purchase of a vehicle is concluded directly between the buyer and the Seller. Verev is not a party to that contract and is not the buyer's or Seller's agent.
• Listings, prices, descriptions, photographs and vehicle information are provided by Sellers or generated from third-party data sources. Verev does not endorse, and is not responsible for, the accuracy, completeness, legality or quality of any listing or vehicle.

2Eligibility & your account

To use the Platform you must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By using the Platform you represent that you meet these requirements.

• You agree to provide true, current and complete information and to keep it updated.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and OTP/credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@verev.in of any unauthorised use.
• We may refuse, suspend or terminate any account, and remove any content, at our sole discretion — including where we reasonably believe the account is being used for fraudulent, abusive or unlawful purposes, or in breach of these Terms.

3Listings, verification & "Verified" badge

Some vehicles display a "Verified" badge, which indicates the vehicle passed the document check, odometer review and inspection described on the Platform at the time it was carried out. You expressly acknowledge and agree that:

• Verification is a limited, point-in-time assessment based on information and access available at that time. It is not a warranty, guarantee or certification of a vehicle's title, roadworthiness, mechanical or structural condition, future performance, accident/flood/loan history, or fitness for any purpose.
• Odometer readings, mileage, ownership, registration details, specifications, images and prices may be supplied by Sellers or third parties and may contain errors or become outdated.
• You must independently inspect, test and satisfy yourself about the vehicle (including a physical inspection and, where appropriate, an independent mechanic and an RTO/records check) before making any payment or purchase decision. Verev strongly recommends you do so.
• All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are indicative unless confirmed in writing at the point of sale; final price, applicable taxes, RTO fees and transfer charges are agreed between you and the Seller.

4Buying a vehicle

When you decide to purchase, you contract directly with the Seller. Accordingly:

• Payment for the vehicle is made to the Seller (not to Verev) on terms agreed between you and the Seller. Never pay a full amount without verifying the vehicle, the Seller and the ownership documents.
• Transfer of ownership, registration (RC) transfer, insurance transfer, delivery, and any warranty are the responsibility of the buyer and Seller.
• Any dispute regarding the vehicle, its condition, price, delivery or documents is solely between the buyer and the Seller; Verev may, at its discretion, assist but is not obliged to mediate or resolve such disputes and is not liable for their outcome.

5Selling or submitting a vehicle

If you submit or list a vehicle, you represent, warrant and undertake that:

• You are the lawful owner or are duly authorised to sell the vehicle;
• All information and documents you provide (including the registration certificate, insurance and identity documents) are genuine, accurate, current and not misleading;
• The vehicle is not stolen and is free of undisclosed loans, hypothecation, liens, blacklisting, scrappage orders or legal disputes, and its identification numbers (VIN/chassis/engine) have not been tampered with;
• You will disclose all material facts (including major accident, flood, fire or structural damage, engine replacement, insurance total-loss and active loan/hypothecation).

You authorise Verev to verify, inspect, value, list and market the vehicle and to share relevant details with prospective buyers and partners. Verev may decline, edit, re-categorise, suspend or remove any submission at its discretion. Any applicable fees are shown before you confirm and are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6Test drives, inspections & in-person dealings

Any test drive, inspection, meeting or transaction you arrange through the Platform is undertaken entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety, for holding valid driving documents and insurance, and for complying with traffic laws. Verev is not responsible or liable for any accident, injury, loss, theft, damage or dispute arising out of any test drive, inspection or dealing between you and any Seller or third party.

7Enquiries & communications

When you send an enquiry, request a callback or book a test drive, you consent to Verev and/or the relevant Seller contacting you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or in-app message about that vehicle and related services, and you confirm this consent overrides any DND/NDNC registration for such communications. We route your details only to the parties necessary to respond, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8Loans, insurance & third-party services

The Platform may present or link to third-party products and services (such as vehicle loans, insurance, RTO/registration assistance, warranties, EMI calculators or partner offers). These are provided by independent third parties on their own terms.

• Verev acts only as a facilitator/referrer and does not provide financial, credit, insurance, legal, tax or investment advice. Any figures (e.g., EMI estimates) are indicative only.
• Approval, pricing, terms and fulfilment of any third-party product are decided solely by that provider. Verev is not liable for third-party products, services, content, websites or conduct.
• Your dealings with a third party (including payment and disputes) are between you and that third party.

9Fees, payments & taxes

Browsing, searching and sending enquiries are free for buyers. Certain services (for example, Seller/dealer listing, verification, featured placement, packages or subscriptions) may carry fees, which are shown before you confirm and are exclusive of applicable taxes (including GST) unless stated.

• Fees paid to Verev are for the service purchased and are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund & Cancellation Policy or as required by law.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways; Verev does not store your full card details. You are responsible for charges you authorise.
• Verev is not responsible for any payment made directly between a buyer and a Seller.

10Acceptable use & prohibited conduct

You agree not to, and not to permit others to:

• Post or transmit content that is false, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or that violates any law or third-party right;
• List a vehicle you are not entitled to sell, misrepresent a vehicle, or post duplicate/fake listings;
• Scrape, crawl, copy, harvest or index the Platform or its data, or use bots/automated means, without our prior written permission;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorised access to the Platform or its security, or upload viruses or malicious code;
• Circumvent our enquiry, verification, fee or safety systems, harass other users, or send spam;
• Use the Platform for money laundering, fraud, or any unlawful purpose.

We may report suspected unlawful activity to the authorities and cooperate with any investigation.

11Your content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as listing details and photographs) but grant Verev a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish and display it for operating, improving and promoting the Platform. You are solely responsible for your content and warrant that you have the rights to grant this licence.

The Verev name, logos, design, software, text, graphics and compilation of content are owned by or licensed to Resa Choose Your Cars Pvt. Ltd. and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use, copy or exploit them without our prior written consent.

12Disclaimers

The Platform and all content and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy or uninterrupted/error-free operation, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Verev does not warrant the condition, quality, legality, safety, ownership or history of any vehicle, or the truth or accuracy of any listing, or the identity, ability or conduct of any Seller, buyer or third party.

13Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Verev, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, or any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the Platform, any listing, any vehicle, or any dealing between you and a Seller or third party — whether based on contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, and whether or not foreseeable.

In all cases, Verev's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Platform will not exceed the total fees (if any) you actually paid to Verev in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is lower.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Verev and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your content or listings; (c) your breach of these Terms or any law or third-party right; or (d) any transaction, dispute or dealing between you and a Seller, buyer or third party.

15Suspension & termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to all or part of the Platform, and remove content, at any time with or without notice, including for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or unlawful activity, or to protect the Platform or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, intellectual property and dispute resolution) will survive.

16Dispute resolution & arbitration

In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform, the parties will first attempt to resolve it amicably by writing to legal@verev.in. If not resolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by Verev, conducted in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Verev's registered office location in India, and the language shall be English. The arbitral award shall be final and binding. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking urgent interim relief from a competent court.

17Grievance redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints regarding any content or your use of the Platform may be sent to our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and endeavour to resolve it within 15 days of receipt (or such other period prescribed by law).

18Force majeure & general

• Force majeure: Verev is not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control (including acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, war, strikes, network/hosting or power failures, or governmental action).
• Severability: if any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Waiver: our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: you may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
• Entire agreement: these Terms and the policies referenced form the entire agreement between you and Verev regarding the Platform.
• Notices: we may give notices via the Platform, email or SMS.

19Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause above and to applicable consumer-protection law, the courts of competent jurisdiction at Verev's registered office location shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter arising out of these Terms.

20Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified on the Platform. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Please review this page periodically.
